Well, there is always Telepathy.

I'm not sure that I understand your question. An online only presence with users that you want to contact in mass without using email? The only other thing that I could think of would be that if you require address and phone information, you could call them or snail mail them.

Well, there is a feature called user notes, that you can use that will show in their account when they are logged in, however I don't think that you can do that globally (e.g. en masse). If it's a message you want to be shown to all registered users you could use some smarty logic to show a message on any page that you want by checking to see if they are logged in. Plenty of posts regarding how to do that throughout the forums.

Do you own a license for 68 Classifieds? If so, what version and template are you using, because the user notes feature is new 4.1.x.
