Google Analytics question

If you plug the code into layout.tpl, will this add the code to all of the pages? Is this the proper place for the code and is Google analytics supported?

I've read about javascript and the {literal} tags.

Just place in at the bottom of layout.tpl just above </body>

So it looks like this

Yes it will add it to all pages.
