Default Automatically expiring ads?

My requirements are fairly basic for the time being. I would, however, like to know if 68C can be configured to cause an ad to AUTOMATICALLY expire after a pre-determined length of time. I want to spend as little time as possible administering the classified ad site. Thanks, Mel Cooper

A quick rundown of the ad, category and package association.

When you create the site you set up categories. Then you create "ad packages" which simply put are the specifics of the ad, how many characters in the ad, how many pics (if any) how long the ad runs and what category the ad can be placed in.

Then when someone goes to place an ad they chose a package. The packages they can chose from will be based on the category they chose to place an ad in. You can have multiple ad packages per category or ad packages that just cover all or some of your categories. The ad package you have defined will determine how long the ad runs and if it can be renewed and the ad will automatically be removed a few days after it expires.

It does, that's what the renewal notice is.

Well, that would indicate that you either haven't set the renewal notice correctly in your admin, or your email settings in your admin or that something is not right with your installation (most likely corrupted files or missing files).

Have you tried testing any other email capabilities such as contact us?

before we waste too much time on this, why dont you share with us what version of the script you are using as well as what template. Also these posts should be in the appropriate support section of the forum if you actually own the script.
