Default Limiting an Additional Featured Ads to a select group

I would like to offer a select User Group the ability to have their ads show up in a Featured Ad area.

While another featured ad area in the page is available for everyone to use.

Is this possible?

Thanks

Not if I understand correctly that this set of featured ads is actually different to another type of featured ads.
In other words they are not all mixed together.

What you could do though is make a special category for them - call it special features for example. Then use the horizontal listings plugin to display ads from that special category. You can then put that on any page you fancy. what you would not do though is allow those ads to be featured or they will end up mixing with the normal featured ads.

Thanks...

Well, I dont mind these special Featured ads showing in the regular featured ads... its the other way aroud I dont want to happen.

The Special Featured ads would be for a particular group of clients that will pay a monthly fee for our service.

I'll try to do it tonight.

Make a special category for them. At least I cannot see another way of doing it.

NO - read what I wrote please. Make a category called special featured or whatever you like to call them. Then you can display this in a horizontal set of listings anywhere. Mix them with normal featured if you prefer as well.

What you cannot do is have two sets of featured ads per category (i.e distinct sets - think about it).

Good Deal,

It is actually a very good idea... It gives it a little prestige to the client and section.

Hope it works out for you. You can then put these ads from this category on the home page for example. You only need to know the category ID and the css horizontal listings plugin will do the rest. almost as you have it now but like this

{css_listings_horizontal number=4 category="X" type="featured"} where X is the ID of the special category.

Done...

Now just need users for the group that will use that category.

David,

What would be the best way to make the horizontal featured ads display vertical?

Could I do:

column="1" number="10"

or is there a better way of doing this?
