Default Some questions

I do apologize in advanced for the amount of questions I've been asking. I've been working 12+ hours a night with my new copy of 68 classifieds. It's been much easier then I thought it was going to be.. the smarty templates are much better laid out then what I've seen other developers do with them. I've seen developers (like x-cart) put smarty template into template into template, it goes on.. with 68classifieds there's only a few templates to work with for the entire site. Anyways, on with my questions..

Is there a way to display the date the listing was last updated? Something like this.. {$dateupdated|date_format:$dateformat}

Also, is there a way to display the listing ID #? Not the userid number. I found that {$id} displays the userid, but this isn't the listing id.

Is there a way to link from the listing a page to contact the listing owner? I'm looking to do away with the contact form on the listing and put it on a separate page (linked from the listing page). If there's no easy way to do it, would I have to have the developer edition in order to do it?

Hi there,

can't help with the date edited, but your listing id is {$entry.id}

Cheers, Tim

Im not too sure on your level of programming but you would need to add an extra field to the product listing for date modified. When admin or the user modifies an ad you will have to make it update the info in the table.

Thats the only way you can get that to work

Also in the future if you want to see what all variables are available on a page you can add {debug} to the template.

Tim,
Do you know if you mistyped something in the command - {$entry.id}? It just gives me a "<". I tried it like {$entryid}, which didn't work either.

Thanks,
chris
