Thumbs up Bad Word Settings

Kudos to Eric.

One very effective way to stop spam is to censor the spam url sitewide so it becomes useless for spammers to continue to spam your site.

I was checking if this feature is available for both ad listings and private messages and I found the bad word settings.

And, it's coverage is sitewide.

It's a very good feature.

I have effectively stopped some spammers on a few of my forums just by censoring the url they are spamming. This works for those who spam their company website.
