well if i get a reply or two to my other thread "topic: Looks Promising" I'll can make a descision on whether to grab the dev version. I'm not concerned with the SEO option, as it doesn't really seem relevant to "index" ads if they won't be there in a few days anyway. I'd SEO the frontend before the classified link anyway so the thats not needed.
If/when I get the app, I will log and write my install process and if successful before the 14 day grace period I will go ahead and write a windows tutorial for install. thanks again. |

Can you be specific about what doesn't work? Are you getting php errors or what?

HI
I have installed all of the software i can, that is required to operate 68classifieds. Now my question to you is a strange one but nevertheless it is a question. If i gave details to a domain on my server, whats the chance of having a classifieds set up just to see if it will work properly. That way atleast i do not have to waste money on something that seems to be a good product but may not work on my server. Kind Regards Barry |

Hi
Thanks for all the help and advice... Unix/Linux Server PHP Version 4.1 or above MySQL 3.23 or above Either GD, GD2, or Netpbm for the image upload and resize functions. ionCube Loaders I(someone else) installed all of the above except Unix/Linux Server. I paid a server Guru to install everything else, but he does not work with Unix/Linux.( I suppose he is not a guru then.mmmmm) Not sure about the version numbers, but i am sure they will be the latest versions. I am a little scared to install something i do not understand. As i have a whole lot of websites on my server. I have got to be careful to what extent i go..So perhaps i just need to try it out one day and then take it from there.. Thanks in advance Barry |
