Just like 68C saves you time by automating the task of placing ads on a web site. Someone could just have people e-mail them ads and then create a static website where they hand enter and layout all the ads and then manually edit and remove them when the ads expiration is up to.

You dont want to spend money for the time a developer spent creating a module, then you have a couple choices. Spend your own time learning to code and write your own module, OR spend time dealing with the issue manually.
The frown was about me not about anyone else or the mod. I am uncertain if this script can meet my needs.

I don't mind spending the money if it is going to work with my current needs.

I love the script very much but it would be useless to me if It does not do the job I need it to do.
I am running a classiied now and making half decent money with it. http://godubois.net/classcaffe/cc/index.php
It is a local website where I live and you can't post an ad unless you live within 75 miles from my town. It took a year to catch on but I've been making money the last 5or6 years, so I don't want to change the rules too much.

Here is what I need: Will this script be able to do this or can it be edited to do this or will a mod work?
I am willing to pay, but I haven't got an good answer besides a coupon might work or the member module.

I need a script that will limit the # of free ads a member can post and also limit the # of photos.

I also need to limit the ads a Gold Member can post. (the script I am running now a Gold Member can post up to 6 ads with with photos and also be a featured ad which is always on top.

Here is the Gold Member info I am using now.
http://godubois.net/classcaffe/cc/re...goldmembership

I have it so a Business can post 3 featured ads in different categories with photo.
Here is my Business Gold Memberinfo.
http://godubois.net/classcaffe/cc/re...ction=business

>>>I have to manually check businesses so they can only post 3 Featued ads with photos becuse they are on the same plan a a regular Gold member.

Thanks for any suggestions or comments.

I hope you understand my classified mess LOL

It sounds like your problems are due to lack of planning and a thorough understanding of hat 68C can do.

Why are businesses on the same "plan" as individual gold members? You can create coupons/discounts and assign them to specific users and specific user groups. You can create ad packages that are only seen by certain user groups.

If you want to limit free ads, then dont make any of your ad packages free but instead give people a discount for X number of ads that gives them a 100% discount. That way they place X ads for free and after that they have to pay.

I guarantee it is not lack of planning. It probably is more of understanding your script and that's why I am asking questions.

That script only has one option for packages and that is why I am looking for a new script.

Huh? Im not talking about anything I made, I am referring to the core functionality thats built into 68C.

What do you mean by the script only has one option for packages??

Create as many user groups as you want, create as many ad packages as you want. Have "regular users" stay in the default user group, then create a gold business member group and a gold personal user group. Then create ad packages and assign them ONLY to those user groups.

Regular registered users will then not see the ad packages assigned to other user groups.

What you may want to do is check out the 68C demo, log into admin, create a user group, create an ad package only available to that user group. Then create a user, log in as that user and see what they see. Log in admin and change the users group and then log back in as them and see what they see.

Create a discount, try placing a test ad and see the discount applied. Discounts in 68C automatically get applied at checkout time whereas coupon codes need to me manually entered at checkout by client.

You could create no free packages and then when people sign up create a discount for them allowing them a 100% discount for 10 ads for example. Then they could place 10 ads for free and after that they would have to pay.

You could create a gold member group and a gold business member group and create different ad packages for each, each with a different price and rules(ie number of pics, ad run length etc).
