Post ads on site

Hi

Using v4.0.9 Hosted and would like to put some ads on between search panel and catagories.
What would be the best way to go about it - have tried a few ways but its not working for me.

Hi

Sorry about that - didnt explain well

I want to sell advertising space (about 5 small ads) and put the ads between search and catagories.

Hope that explains it better

Hi

Not sure if I want ads on all the pages - if so I presume I would put the code in hosting control panel but is it possible to put it in page editor.

First, I would recommend that you do a search for answers to your question before posting. This question has been asked before and answered recently.

It sounds like you just want them on the home page then? That would be your home.tpl file in your template folder. In that file the {$pPageContent} is the text on your home page that shows above the category lists. If you want your ads before it, put it before the {$pPageContent} other wise after it, but before the <br />

Hope that helps,
-Mike

And if you wanted the ads to appear on all pages the easiest place would be in the layout.tpl template.

It may seem like we are picking asking a bunch of questions but the truth of the matter is we cant really answer most questions here without very specific info from the one asking the question. Well, I guess we could answer the question without specifics but then more often than not the answer is incorrect and Im not a big fan of wasting my time trying to furnish solutions that arent what someone was looking for.
