Default Template bug???

I created a new site and wanted to use the 'purple' template. One element of the purple template that doesn't exist on the default template is an option at the bottom to change the template type; weird option for visitors I think. (at first I thought this was showing because I was logged in as admin but when I logged out it was still there)

So I chose 'default' and now that's all that displays. Even when I go back into the cp and set template to 'purple' it still doesn't take. I've logged out thinking it wanted to show 'admin' his/her choice but no...All that displays is 'default' now.

Any ideas how I can go 'purple' again???

Eric Barnes is a jewel in the rough
Default

That is just a template plugin that is only enabled on the purple template:
{list_templates}

What it does is to change the url to something like:
yoursite.com/index.php?template=default
yoursite.com/index.php?template=purple

Then the script sets a cookie with your selection. That way it remains the active template through out the script. You can change it back by visiting: yoursite.com/index.php?template=purple or just deleting your cookies.
