hi

is there another way, to display the category for then the user places the add.

i have a huge and difficult to read drop down list.

With the developer edition you can alter the code to display a series of dropwdowns where the first dropdown displays just the parent cats, then after one of them is selected another dropdown appears showing just the children for that cat.

This is the only thing that is missing on my site.

How difficult is it to make it into mod. if you give the me the code i can try to help.

Im not sure if this could be made into a module, I would have to take a closer look at the code.

thanks it looks good. does it work with child categorys who have sub categorys.

for example, property --> commercial ---> for rent.

else i should maybe invest in the developer version

Yeah id buy that as soon as it was avalible as long as it could have unlimited sub cats.

i would buy it as well. how is it going. I am surprised that this type of feature was not in the initial release.

To me, a "module" is something that is either largely stand alone scripts or scripts that use existing built in hooks to alter functionality. Various hooks are scattered throughout the core code of 68C for us 3rd party deleopers to use but in the case I dont beleive the module system will work for this so the change would have to be manually coded which means you would need the developer verion.

Let me take a closer look at it and I will get back to you..
