I'm new to all of this so please bare with me. I just purchased the Developer and of course I forgot to include installation when I purchased it. I am now attempting to upload it with my FTP software and I keep getting an error saying templates_c folder has failed and cannot be uploaded. I wasn't sure if I needed to contact 68 Classifieds about this or the FTP techs but I thought I'd check in here. Any hints or advice is greatly appreciated by this newbie! Thanks!

Just create the folder on your server if you can't upload it. It should be empty for now anyway.

I had a look and its actually the template_c folder which has 127 files in it and none of them will upload. When I try to do it manually I get an error saying "You must rename the file so that you use only letters of the alphabet and/or numbers." Does this mean I have to re-name the files? Won't this mess with the scripting?

The templates_c folder is simply a directory used by Smarty (the templating system used by 68 Classifieds). You can safely do as already suggested and simply create the templates_c folder in the 68 classifieds directory on your web host server.
I don't know why you would already have files in the folder with a fresh download of the 68C script, none-the-less they are not needed. -Mike

Its worth noting while on the subject that in your admin control panel, you can go into the modules section and use the administration module to clear your templates_c folder without having to use FTP. Clearing this when you have made changes often solves caching problems.
