Tapered category selection - can I do it?

Hi,

Is there any way I can "taper" the category selection? If when somebody chooses a category they can only view the top level categories, they choose one and then the page reloads showing all of the subcategories available based on their top level category choice. Obviously if there are no sub categories available then they just go to fill out their advert.

Is there any way I can do that? I'm running the designer version of 68c.

I thought that's how it does work. That's how mine works. The only thing I seem to have done is remove the subcats from my home page. On home.tpl.php is the code:

{html_table_adv loop=$data cols=$cols table_attr='width="100%"'}
 [[start_link]]<img src='[[image]]' border='0' alt='[[name]]' /></a> [[start_link]]<strong>[[name]]</strong></a>
 ([[total]])
 <br />
[[subcats]]
{/html_table_adv}

Just comment out <!-- --> or remove [[subcats]].

Whoops, I forgot to mention that I want this on the add advert process, so when people are choosing which category to choose from.

Buy the checkout categories mod - http://www.68classifieds.com/modific...ng.php?view=50. It takes about a minute or two to install and costs somethin' like seven bucks.
