Arrow Site Review Please

I been working on this site for about 5 months now and it's almost ready... I still need to make a few changes. But before I go public I wanted to get your thoughts on how the site looks and feels. Feel free to sign up for an account and let me know what you think of the members area and ways to make it more useful.

Please just do me one favor and tell me like it is... I am REAL interested in what you DON'T like about the site.

I plan on using Flyers as my way of advertising and getting the word out. I have already had a few business owners look at the site and want to advertise when its up and running... so that's good news.

Well I'll stop typing and let you look at the site... Thanks for your time and your review. -Josh

Josh,

My first impression was nice, simple, and easy on the eyes. After digging in a little deeper I liked the banner ads especially the top right (Real Cool).

Some changes I would probably make is to change the links:
toplistings.php?pg=featured
to:
http://www.vanwertads.com/listings/featured.html

I know this is not a major deal but that is would match the other site links.

After I get my first million I will see if you will still sell it for that amount.

The SEO mod may not be rewriting them but it is easy to change in the template file.

Thumbs up

Josh,

You did a GREAT job on your site. You do some very good graphic work!

The only thing that I don't like is the google ads in the middle of your user's ads. I personally wouldn't advertise my items on a site that puts ads to somewhere else right in the middle of my ad. That's just me personally, though.

Great job!

Mike

I agree mike... just messing with the ads... thinking about taking them out completely... might design the whole listing page to work the ads in better...

I wish I could take credit for the banners but I'm not even close to that good... I had the guys at www.bannersmall.com create them for me... These guys are very good I gave them very little to go on and they did a GREAT job.

Thanks for your feedback!
-Josh

Eric thanks for the feedback changed the links... looks better... don't know how I missed that? I'm glad I had you all take a look at it first... thanks again

UPDATE: I just updated the site with a new drop down menu. Now I have a place for all my links... Let me know what you think! If you are using a browser other than IE7 let me know if you have any problems viewing the menu.

Just a few more tweaks and I should be good to go... Thanks -Josh
