Admin can't view expired listings - fixed??

Hi,

I've searched but can't find any threads that explain if the old bug has been fixed where the admin can't see expired listings - when searching for only expired listings, nothing appears in the search results even though there are expired listings in the database.

I found some old threads that acknowledged the problem, but I could find a fix... has it been resolved?

This is happening in my 3.1.10 version.

Hi Jim,

I do not remember this bug and the only way to really try and figure it out would be to echo out the queries and try to find what is going on. To be honest v3.1.10 has been out so long now I really do not remember much of the setup any longer.

I have this problem also with 3.1.1, and google is not happy with duplicate title tags (being the site name on the 'sorry, listing has expired' page) and i cant remove the pages. I bought this version 13 months ago, put alot of effort in the template and some functionality, dont want to upgrade, WAY too much work... Would you mind trying to remember the setup Eric?

A word to the wise. Im a system engineer by trade and I always run into clients who dont stay current with software releases because its too much of a hassle.

Thats a very dangerous stance and one that almost ALWAYS bits them on the backside because there comes a time when the OS they are using or one of the apps is no longer supported and then when something happens, guess what? They are out of luck.

So instead of doing planned and controlled upgrades when its convenient for them they end up have extended downtime forcing them to upgrade a whole bunch of software at once because invariable there are dependancies within the mix.

68C isnt even that complex, but if you site is making money for you you should seriously consider the implications if one day your web host upgrades PHP to a new version and something in your old 68C version doesnt work anymore, what are you going to do?
