Greetings,

I have a classifieds site which is regional in nature. I offer free ads with priced upgrades (bold, highlight, featured). I do get ad requests globally and have either deleted them for lack of relevance, spam, or because they are not in the region (see http://classifieds.ChesapeakeBayMarket.com). I can also block using htaccess, but that is a pain.

I have established an "International" category, but I want any ads posted there to not be displayed globally. I would rather have that for the folks in the Chesapeake Bay Region, and not for the person in Bangalore. BUT...I still want the potential of making money from the ad.

I have the Developer vervion 3.1.10.

This may not be to easy but I would think you need to get a list of the category id's for this group and then add them to the searchresults page so it doesn't search them.
