This will be something that you should be able to accomplish once v3.1 is officially released. It will have membership's and you can then tye memberships into usergroups.

Hi Eric,
I was just wondering what the current standing is with 3.1. Obviously, I know the crash has set the project back and this question is purely out of interest.

Hi Larry Quote:
I had to over come this on another script that this is one is replacing I could Not find any way that I could stop them form posting contact details in the section "details" I have a rules page that states this BUT as you know as well as I do that means nothing to some posters. The only way I got over this was the old script posted a email back to me when a poster joined the site. I then had to check to see if they had put any contact details in. A PAIN in the neck BUT could not find any other way of doing it. I did have a chap who said he could write a bit of php/perl code that would look in the data base to find if anyone had put in contact details tel number web page etc and delete that info but in did not get back to me. So it looks like I'm stuck with the email back to me when they join. Regards John |

You can turn on manual approval in the admin panel -> User Checkout Settings
Then filter out what you don't want before you approve the ad. Then you can display the contact form for only the member with a specific usergroup which is assigned by the next version membership/subscription system. You could also do some basic filtering of number strings and suspect email address before it gets submitted. However, if they are determined you will only catch them by looking at each ad. |
