Changing ftp password and problems with it

When I changed my ftp pasword, 68classifieds (ver 3.15b) stop working. Why? How could I get it running with the new password?

Hi,

Can you be more specific? Does the site not load any longer? Changing ftp password should not affect anything related to the script except you downloading and uploading files. The script only needs ftp to upload the files no other part uses ftp.

That sounds like it can not connect to the database. I would recommend opening the file connections/classifieds.php and making sure you database details are correct. Maybe you changed your database password instead of your ftp password.

I could not change database password because I used "Password maintenance" from cPanel ("This changes the main password for your account...").

However, by changing password_classifieds variable in classifieds.php as you suggested the problem was resolved. Thanks.

Many web hosts tie the main user password to the main mySQL databases password.

Then it was probably the reason why 68c stopped working. Thanks for information.
