My search functions have quit working - regardless of what is searched for, there are no results.
I just updated my php version (now 4.4.8) on the server and php.ini was overwritten. I'm guessing this is the cause of the failed searches. I've searched the forums and the online install manual but have found no recommended php.ini settings. What php.ini settings do I need to check/adjust? Thanks, Jim

Hi,
The php.ini shouldn't have any effect on this. From memory the only thing we sometimes have to add this file is the location of ioncube.

I know it isn't anything to do with templates, since I have three different installs on my domain (for three different purposes - classifieds, business listings, and event type listings) and search has quit working on all three. I figured php was the most likely culprit but apache was also updated at the same time. I've done previous server updates and never had this issue before so I'm not sure where to look. Here is a search results page (with debug turned on) that should show about 89 results: http://www.hotairballooning.com/clas...rch&debug=true Any guess what I should be looking at next? Thanks, Jim

Hi,
I visited that link you sent and could see lots of listings. Then I searched for one specific one and it worked as well.

Wow Eric, that is really strange. I'm getting "We are sorry no items were found" in IE and Firefox on Win2k and XP. Cleared all the caches with same result.
BUT I do get search results in both Safari and Firefox on my Mac. This is really strange....

I was using a Mac earlier but I just got my wife to test with XP and Firefox 2.0 and didn't have any issues either.

My laptop running XP shows the search results correctly in FireFox, but no results in IE.
My initial testing was stated incorrectly above - the Win2k machine shows no search results in IR, but correct results in FireFox. What's so strange about this is that both results - with or without listings - appear to have come from the script itself, but the only difference I can find is the browser being used. When the results are empty, there aren't any browser generated errors (like js errors) - the output from the script indicated the script itself didn't find any matching data. Are the script's search routines different based on the browser? Regards, Jim

Would anyone else that has a moment check the following link in IE and Firefox and let me know if there are any listings shown?
http://www.hotairballooning.com/clas...?Submit=Search Thanks, Jim
