phpBB usershare & spam
I have the phpBB usershare mod installed with V3.1.7 developer. Recently updated to phpBB 2.0.23
Visual Verification is active as well as Admin Approval for new users, however, I am still getting these russian email addresses and adult-related profiles - all registering without my (Admin) approval. How are they doing this and how can I prevent it? I have read other posts on this topic and most suggested that installing the latest version of phpBB did the trick - not in this case. Any ideas?

Are these new users being registered just under phpbb or under both phpbb and 68c?
If they are only appearing under phpbb then it would appear the problem is strictly phpbb related and likely beyond the scope of this forum to help. |
