admin > category > extra fields info disappearing

Hi there-

I am creating parent and child options to assign to posting categories. . .I figured out how to get them to show up properly in the listing. . .except for one problem.

ex:


Parent Field A
Child Field A
Child option A
Child option B
Child option C
Child Field B
Child option A
Child option B
etc.

Well. . . I create Child field A and it's options. Then in Parent Field A I assign Child Field A via name and ID.

Then I create Child Field B and options. In Parent Field A I assign Child Field B via name and ID.

When I look at it live after assigning the first child Field, the parent field shows up, I choose the option "Child Field A" . . .then Child Field A shows up under, which I then can choose one of the options assigned to Child Field A.

As soon as I assign the newest Child Field to the parent though. ..when I look at it live, the Child Field A choice is gone from the drop down of Parent Field A.

And if I go back and reassign the Child Field A to the Parent Field, then when I see it live both child fields are there, but the options are no longer there for Child Field A. etc. . i would imagine this would keep on going down the line and I would have to keep re-entering and re-entering. . .

Apparently something isn't taking in the database or something, I'm not sure. ..

Has this happened to anyone else?
