when we do the search, for all fields the argument is "equal to".
how can I use a "not equal to" argument in the search. I am looking at modifying the search URL... eg. I have the following search string.

searchresults.php?searchtext=&type=7&opt36[]=SOLD+OUT+!!!!!&Submit=Search

I want to make it not equal to "SOLD OUT !!!!!". i tried modifying the URL to opt36[]!=SOLD+OUT+!!!!!. but doesn't seem to work. I want to make the result not include listings marked as SOLD OUT.

You would have to alter the php file and add a new search parameter. It can't be done from the url alone.
