Default "Search All" extra fields option

Can anyone tell me how to do this...

I've added extra fields to a particular category and made them "searchable". When I go to the search page and select the category I do see a dropdown box appear for the extra fields I just setup, but I need a way for the default (and first value in this drop down box) to be "Search ALL".... just like it's handled for the field "City" for example on the search page. I've searched high and low for this and can't find an answer. I'm using the hosted version 4.1.2. I 'd be grateful for any help with this.

I think this is what you are needing:

I may not have been real clear in my explanation... here's another crack at it...

I have added an extra field with about 100 different options. If you select the category it's attached to on the search page, you will then get the drop down box you can use to select the extra field value you want to search for. However, it defauls to showing and selecting the first in the list of values for that field.

I'd like the very first value in my extra field search drop down box to be "Search ALL". It's done this way with State and City for example. How do I get a selection of "Search ALL" to appear for specific extra fields I have added?

I understand now. This is actually a bug and will be fixed in the next release.

Is there any kind of ETA on the new release in order to plan appropriately?

All I can say is the plan is next week. Of course that can't be set in stone and is dependent on a lot.
