Default "Next" & "Previous" on ads link

So I don't have to bug Eric or Blair with another support ticket (who have been AWSOME by the way!), I was curious if anyone knows how to add in a "next" & "previous" link for viewers to click on when viewing an ad so they don't have to hit the "bacK" button to view the list of ads again.

Hi Rob,

That would fall under "pagination". I'll make a search through the forums for you. I know there's coding for pagination, but I think it's a bit more in depth for how your seeking to use it against the database.

I'm not a coder, but have seen a lot of different code. Hopefully someone can come up with something, I think that would be a great feature. I'll search the net also and see what I can find.

Randy

I've searched on the net and nothing....all I can find is regular type pagination for navigating in list style rather then forward or backwards to next or previous post. I'm sure it's somewhere I just haven't found the correct use of search terms I guess. I kinda like this idea, hopefully someone comes up with some info for us.

Yea next and previous has not been added to the viewlisting page because of the complexity behind it. You would need to know what the users was searching for or what category they came from.

Too many variables to make such a code very easily I guess. Doh! Is ok.

Yeah I figured it would be a bit complex.....I was thinking of taking a look at maybe a forums script to maybe see if I could figure out how it's done (not that I'd understand any of it), like at the bottom of this page under quick reply " Icon for pic n/a in listing | Ad Reporing V 1.0.1 " how it's knows what post is next and prior from the database.

Knowing little I have to agree with Eric.....

**Edit** I notice the way this forum works after I made my post it takes the info from the most recent thread that was posted to. Just one more variable to deal with when things are updated.
