Modify listings displayed

Hi all,
I want to modify the way listings are displayed. For example I would like to get rid of the columns "View Listing" and "Expiration Date". Instead I would like to put the short description field.
How can this br done.

This can be done from admin -> settings -> search settings:
Search Settings - 68 Classifieds

Search results template
This allows you to choose which search results you want to use. default uses showlistings.tpl and short description uses showlistings2.tpl. The option chosen here also applies to the category results.

I've tried it but it still shows the "Expiration Date". Can this be taken off?

keep in mind that what you see varies based on if you view the site as a guest, admin etc.

As Larry is suggesting - in your 68C admin control panel, look in your users -> usergroups and make sure that for guests that the correct options are checked or unchecked as you wish them to display. I think you will find that you have the display expiration date set to 'yes'.

To eradicate the viewlisting link (column) then you will need to modify the showlistings.tpl file. Remove these lines:

To view the short descriptions then you need to go into your admin control panel and set it to show the second type of showlistings which is in settings - search settings. where it asks for the searchresults default template.
