$viewaddress showing as "Y" when it is "N"

Solution found: hadn't looked at the user group settings!

hi

I am trying to hide the members address and other fields on the viewlisting.tpl page. I have unchecked the various 'display' boxes in the user registration field settings, but the fields are still showing on the site.

I checked the back end database and the values are how they should be ie 'N' in the user_settings table

I turned on the debug console and the $viewaddress variable, amongst others, says 'Y'

Is this a bug? or do I have to make a change somewhere else?
