Default User Passwords

Is there a way for the admin to see what the passwords actually are for the registered users?

That way, we could go in and modify a listing should we need to do so for a user.

You can modify a persons listing directly from the 68C admin control panel. You don't need to modify it through the front end.

Didn't know if this would effect anything in the listing beings I wasn't logged in as that user.

Also, if I want to add a listing under a users registration, I can't unless I do know the password even though I can change listings.

Yer - you can pretty much change anything about their listing, including packages and category, contents, expiry date, etc.

But I can't add a new listing as that user, can I?

And you mention about being able to change packages for a listing. Well I just tried and I can't see any way to change a listings package. It shows bold, highlighted and featured, but I don't see a way to change the package. If that's possible, that will answer another thread I submitted this morning.

You cant directly change the package but you can override the limits imposed by the package. You as admin on the back end have no image limits, character limits, can over ride exp date etc.

Yes, you can add new listings as a user, listings -> add and on the ad listing form is a dropdown list of users, select the user who is supposed to own the ad you are creating.

When you create a listing in the admin, one of the first fields is a drop down that is a list of all of the users on the top left hand side. Just select which user you would like the ad to be listed for.

No, there is not an actual field/list for Ad Listing packages, because it isn't needed as the admin, because the ad listing package simply is a pre-defined set of parameters for the ad. As the Admin placing an ad, you have no limits. You can set what ever expiration date you would like, upload any amount of images, type as many characters as you want, etc.

Thanks Larry.

This will solve a whole lot of issues that pop up over time. Beings I'm brand new to the program, I didn't know I could do all these things. Thought I had to actually see the function to be able to do something.

You made it so simple. Thank you, thank you, thank you.

I really appreciate your help as always.

Rich

I stand corrected about packages - apologies - you can only change the advert attributes directly to simulate a package e.g featured, highlighted, dates, number of images, etc. This is the admin doing it. The package itself which was chosen does not change.

Well, I thought I had all the questions answered, but my partner just threw the one in I kept forgetting to ask.

The USER wants to upgrade a current listing to one of the better packages so HE can put in say more text, more photos, etc., and the upgrade function doesn't allow that. Can this be done somehow by the user himself?
