Default Recurring billing

Back to this old problem !!

I have taken a look at previous posts on the subject going back several years, but there doesnt seem to be a solution.

I realise that a 'module' based solution is difficult due to the complexities of it working with all payment providers - but I am sure most of us use PAYPAL as either main or secondary payment processor so a PAYPAL-only solution would be welcome.

Would it be as simple a setting an infinate expiry date for all lsitings paid for VIA PAYPAL and then just waiting until the user cancels the recurring payment before removal of the listing?

PAYPAL informs me when a recurring payment is cancelled, so I would then manually remove the listing that has just been cancelled. In my case, I wouldn't need the listing to be automatically removed.

I am not familiar enough with paypal API or how 68C handles interaction with paypal. Would it be as simple as changing a line of code in 68C to tell paypal the transaction is recurring and read from the listings 'package' the recurring period (eg every month, every year)??

Thanks

Mike

Thumbs up

I don't have an answer for you Mike but would just like to add my voice to your request. If 68C or an independent developer could produce a Module for Recurring Billing I would be very happy - and more importantly I'd be a grateful, paying customer.

Monetization is the name of our game - it's not all about templates and featured listings.
