I have set up a number of fields as Searchable. When I go to the Search link, the fields to do not dispay ? Any ideas why these are not showing up ? I have a few other fields that are working fine this way

Does it make any differecne whether fields are assigned to a primary category or a child category ? I tried changing my set up around, the the serachable fields still will not display when the search box comes up and the category that the fields are tied to is selected.

see.... www.dogservicesusa.com go to place an ad for Category Lost/Found Dogs.....its free so you can try it..one of the fields is Lost/Found City...this is checked off as a searchable field, yet it will not come up when I select the serch under that category..

any ideas what is wrong ???

When I select the various categories I get the search fields appear that are specific to the category, ie lost dog causes "breed" dropdown to appear.

There are a number of fields that were set up as searchable....but they would not show up UNTIL I changed the field positioning on the EXTRA FIELDS page. It seems that if you ad a field, and its too low down on the order relative to other field positions it won't show up. I have not quite fiqured out what the system is doing here, but I did get it to work....
