Just installed V4. The last step for the installation was to change the permission for classifieds.php file from a Connections folder. I only see classifieds-orig.php file and index page from a Connections folder.
The V4 installation manual indicate that i should change the permission to 644 while script indicate that I should change the permission to 755.
Is it ok for me to use classifieds-orig.php file and which permission should I assign?

In v4 the setup actually creates the classifieds.php file. So if you have a ftp editor open you may need to refresh the view for it to be seen. The classifieds-orig.php file is just as a reference and doesn't actually do anything.

Are you sure that the installation completed without any errors? The setup script should have created a new file within your Connections directory called classifieds.php.

The classifieds.php file should then have the permissions changed to 644.

Thanks for the quick response. I am using hostgator and for some reason, I've been having many problems for this server. No iconcube and register globals is on by default to name a few. I will try to reinstall the script after hostgator install the iconcube. Thanks.

That is strange. I just installed one this morning on a HostGator account and had no issues with either. Maybe it was a different box than they set you up with.

I submitted a ticket for iconcube and currently waiting for their reply. As far as register global being on by default and can't be turn off by .htaccess, here's the one of their thread on this issue. http://forums.hostgator.com/showthre...ghlight=global
