Yup that would cause a 403 error if your .htaccess files were not set properly.

Thank you for the quick helps. Still waiting for the tech support to set the site back online again. Hopefully tonight or tomorrow morning.. And i can test out the site move /again/

Nothing unless there were clashes with the wordpress installation or another piece of software and you end up with just a mix of files. In this case as suspected, the .htaccess file in the root directory was not correct.

Yep it was the .htaccess

Now the site is back online and i was able to move to a different folder. Everything works like a charm.
