I've been playing around with the demo site and had a question about a functionality that might or might not exist. What I want to do is display the total number of ads for a top level category, not allow someone to place an ad in the top category if a subcategory is present, and actually show the ads while browsing the top level category.

Here's example category structure and ad count:

New York City (20)
->Upper East Side (13)
->The Village (7)

I figured out that I can enable the category listing total and not allow ads for the New York City category. This will give me a nice clean total count and force the user to select a subcategory. But then I realized that doing that doesn't show any ads when browsing New York City.

Is there a way to set this up where clicking on New York City shows all 20 ads? To put it another way can all the subcategory ads be shown when viewing the top level category?

I believe this is answered on the forum. It may or may not work for version 4.1.8 but it did a few versions back.
