Default Developer Question

Can someone give me an example of why one would need developer over designer? What type of php code changes are most common? It seems like with designer you can modify the templates to meet your needs. Thanks

Yes, your statement is correct and if ALL you want to do is simply change the look then you don't need the developers version. However, if you are going to want to change any of the functionality then you would need the developers version.

If you look through these forums you will see many examples of requests from folks that want to modify this or that in functionality (php code).

If you don't think you want to do that now, you can still upgrade to the developers version in the future, however it's $25 more ($125).

No. Its $99 for designer, then later on if you want to get developer its an extra $125, therefor making it $225 total. When you can buy the developer version for $200.

Upgrade would imply that you already purchased the product as you can not upgrade nothing!

Sorry that you misunderstood that or that I wasn't clear.
