Yes we are looking into purchasing the following products from you -

68 Classifieds Designer
Horse Green
Search Engine Friendly URL's
US Zip Code Search

but have some questions -

Assuming we are using the Designer Product and do not know how to write html -
1. Who do you recommend to host the website?
2. Can we change / add / delete some pages on the main page (home, featured, top listings etc) using the designer product?
3. Can we add Google Analytics to the website or someother webcrawler script?
4. Can we add Banner Ads?
5. Zip code search feature - can it search within a radius of the chosen zip code?
6. Horse Template - when a customer is logged in, is there a link they can click on to go back to their member area?

Let me try and answer your questions:

I would recommend getting familiar with html because that is what drives the layout and it is not that hard to learn.

Yes you can. It would however require editing the template file. So html.

Yes you can add these. You can add any javascript by wrapping it in {literal} tags.

Yes this is a module that can be purchased.

I would have to check on that. But the template can be fully edited.

Thank you for the reply. So everything that I am wanting to do - can I do it in the Designer Version or do I have to purchase the Developer Version? If I start with the Designer and find that it's not allowing me to do what I need, can I upgrade to the Developer Version and then get some help writing the scripts I need to make the changes I want?

Zip Code Search - so it DOES have a search radius not just searching for specific zip codes?

Hi,

Yes everything you listed can be done with the Designer edition. You can also upgrade to the Developer at a later point but the upgrade is $125.

The zip code search lets you enter your zip code then select a radius to search within. So for example you could enter 90210 and then select 5,10,20,30 miles.

Currently we only offer sales and support from the forums here or our ticket system. We do not offer any telephone sales or support.

Alrighty, one last question me thinks....ok maybe the same type of question worded different ways....I'm just nervous about all this. The process seems rather daunting for a greenhorn like me. It seemed so much easier when Network Solutions did our bookkeeping website (just sign up and do everything online - no downloading or uploading) but they can't do when we need them to for our new horse ad sales website - so here it goes....

We still need to nail down a webhost service and I think we'll order the Installation package - just to make sure I don't mess things up. Will you provide me all the programs I need to make this work? Do we need to choose our website host 1st so we can provide you with the information you need? Do you have a favorite webhost to make this process as seemless as possible and are they familiar with how you work?

And the process is that we download all the programs / files onto my computer here at home, and then upload them to the server of the webhost we chose? Is the administration or the website done online or on the home computer before the files are uploaded? Can we make changes to the website pages after it's gone live?

The hosted edition includes hosting on our server and a lease of the Developer edition. We take care of the installation. Also you get full hosting control panel access where you can manage the email, database, etc.

Yes before we could install it you would need hosting setup. Really any of the ones listed will work and all you have to do after installation purchase is send us your welcome email with the ftp details and control panel access. Then we can install it.

Yes you would download the zip package from our customer area and have it on your computer. Next unzip it and then upload all the files to your host.

The administration is all done from a browser so after it is installed you would login to it and manage your site.

In Designer mode, can we change the layout of the website,

insert pics / logos on the home page,

change our info / links at the bottom of the page etc?

And we can add pages in addition to the home page, featured links page, search page etc there on the right side right?

Sorry for the all questions, just wanting to make sure Designer is good enough or if we really just need to have the Developer version.

If we go with Developer, should we go with the hosting package also? If so, why? Does it essentially replace the installation package?
