Default Archiving Classifieds

In some case, it could be interesting to archive all the classifieds, not physically delete them when expired or when user ask for deleting.

It could be interesting to archive classifieds when there is a dispute regarding the description of the thing that was sold. As eBay shows expired items around 3 months, as hosting companies keep available all logs around one year it could be interesting for the 68C administrator to have the possibility to archive expired classifieds.

An other interest of archiving classifieds could be the possibility for user to re-publish an old classified. Not only in the renewall situation, but some days, weeks, months after the classified initially expired.

In the demo, when the user delete the classifieds, it desapear definitively.

Any comments ?

If the user clicks the delete then the listing is permantly removed. If they let it expire normally then it is stored in the database until the time passes that you determine. Default is 7 days but you could change this to 365 or something like that and they will remain.

I believe they will be able to renew a listing as long as it is not deleted.

Sounds nice for the expiration of the listing.

It could be interesting to think about the same status when clicks the delete button => it does not remove the add, but it could make it expired ...

No, the features are exactly the same. The developers version allows you to modify the code, so if you wanted to add a feature you have the ability to do so.
