Red face Editing Software

Hi,
Basically I want to create a new classified (paid) website with an area to list free events. Pick up related news. Free listing of members. Paid banner ads of different sizes.
Not real happy with the cluttered sites out there which is what draws me to your templates.

My question is...about the "ease of use" for folks who do not know the PHP language...I have experience with just html (text coding) and not dreamweaver (which I know I should learn)...
We usually generate all our websites via html text files (the old way)....which I am quite comfortable with.
Do you think this is a fairly friendly software for non programmers...

Probably going to have you load onto our server unless it is a "no brainer" to install...

With that said..We plan on a landing page before getting into listings...how easy is it to modify columns, add columns to templates, vertical listings using the admin section..or is this something that needs to be done in dreamweaver?

Probably too many questions to start with huh?

Thanks
Alisa, CT

This software will do all of what you ask and a whole lot more. You dont need a php background but you will probably end up picking up little bits and pieces when using this software. My advice would be to go for the developer version, even if you dont know php, there are many helpful members on this board that do.

Smile Yet another question News Module Moffo

Thanks for the responses...
about Maffo...seeing you responded...

Last evening I've been on way too may sites for news feeds....
Most feeds have a pretty generic list....or just headlines...
Looking for feeds that will just pick up stories with a key word in it...
can Maffo do that? Without advertising?

Thanks
Alisa

I think you are reffering to my news mod.

No it doesnt do this, what my news mod is ,is for you to write your own articles or (with permission) copy and paste articles from other sites to your own.

The idea is to keep to fresh content on your site and help boost search engine rankings.

Cool Maffo News

The site that we are about to start...needs to be "self-running" to a certain extent... (wearing too may hats here already)
Not being successful in finding a free news module that will do what I want...although I know they are out there....like I said, found one but has advertising withing the listed news....

I may have to resort to cut-n-paste with your module...not that that's a bad thing :-) but we do agree on fresh content for both search engines and visitors.

Thank you again for your opinions....
Looks like this is the one...
