Default Not displaying price

I've been looking at lots of different classifieds software and so far this seems to be the best one. I'll probably be purchasing in about a month or so when I have a little more money saved up for initial marketing but I had a quick question before I purchase this. I'm interested in putting business listings in with my classifieds and was wondering how easy it is to take out the "Price" display when they browse, just for the business listings category. For instance I don't want it to say the company's name then have a price right next to it seeing as how that is irrelevant. Thanks for the help!

It isn't too much work, though you should be comfortable with PHP and HTML. I think the default will allow you to turn off price, but it is a global option. What I've done in the past is create a biz category, with subcats all its own. Then I just checked for the parent category and excluded price. One draw back is that the price will display if search results pull up a mix of regular ads and business ads. In this case I just substitute NA for $0.00.

Hi John,

BOTH those solutions are exactly what i'm looking to do... i've made a business category with some sub-cats in it. It would be great if they didn't display the price.

Presumably the 0.00 can be replaced somewhere with n/a as default??

If you have time, could you post a solution for these

(also, please bear in mind i'm developing v.4, would it be the same/similar process??)

Thanks for the help John, I think I understand what your saying. I've got a pretty good understanding of HTML but don't know much about PHP, but what you said doesn't sound too complicated. I guess in the future(hopefully near) when I start on my classifieds site I'll give it a whirl and post on here if I run into trouble. Thanks!

Tim
