two questions

Hello,

I have two questions:

1) If I had say three websites, example: housesinamerica.com housesinnewyork.com and housesintexas.com and a user added a listing for their house to the housesinamerica.com website and their house happened to also be located in new york, is there a way that their listing will automatically appear on both sites?

I have seen other websites do that in their advertising, promising that the user's ad will not only appear on one site but will also be added to other applicable sites the company has.

Is this function abled? If not, is it easy to modify to be able to do this?

2) I see in the features list it mentions languages. I want to be able to put two small icons at the top of my page, one for english and one for french. So, the user can click on a small flag/icon for english and a small flag/icon to quickly switch over to french.

Can I do this? If not, is it available as a mod?

1. Yes - share the same database. Not too difficult providing your sites are only design different (look and feel) and not structurally (categories and extrafields different).
2. Easy to have two languages but you will need two different systems (unless their is a module in ClassifiedMods - have not checked recently). You need to be clear whether you expect the advertiser to enter the advert in two different languages or not. If not, then someone will need to translate.
Google will do translation of your site for you by the way and it avoids having to have two installs as well. The qulity is variable.

I think from an SEO perspective, mutliple sites with identical content is not such a good idea. You will arrive with a lot of duplicate content. Your sites may get penalised for it.
