When is the next release. Got some feedback that the listing page atleast on my demo is not loading very quickly - 10 seconds of lock ups.

Quite disappointed that V5 trial users are not wishing to pick up and try out this template

I'm satisfied with the results of the last few speed traces I've run. I appreciate everyone's patience as we sort through the short list of to-do's that is bringing us better results.

Some of the things we've done:
- remove the AlphaImageLoader references from the stylesheet.
- corrected some references in the stylesheet that were pointing to incorrect image locations
- optimized some images
- optimized some files.

We'll be implementing these changes in a new release that should be out by the end of the week.

Lastly, we really appreciate everyone checking out the demo, playing with it, testing it. Please submit a bug report if you find something that needs fixing!!

THANKS!

I've noticed some major improvements...thanks!

Are you going to consider the next release as stable or should we be waiting to use the new script on a live site?

Do you intend to have a search page which has drop downs to support keywords, price, categories and extrafields?

@freeze2 - We'll never make the claim that our script is 100% bug-free and to be honest, I would be wary of any company making that claim. What we do promise is that fixing problems is our priority. That said - once we release v5.0.1, we'll consider it ready to use.

@David - the database structure is completely different. Extra fields are now a part of listing tables (and user tables!). The same db restrictions that prevented broad searches in version 4 do not apply to version 5.

Once you are in a category it has a filter option to allow searching by any extra fields you designate. And you can also add in your search fields manually:
Theme Tag - search field | 68 Classifieds Documentation
Theme Tag - search table | 68 Classifieds Documentation
Theme Tag - search form | 68 Classifieds Documentation

It is done this way so you have the flexibility to setup search how you want.

It seems this thread is now departing greatly from the original topic.

Perhaps a new thread is in order and/or perhaps even a new section for v5 should be created. Just saying...
