Default image optimiser on the web?

Hi
I'd like to point my users at an 'easy' method of optimising their images before trying to upload them. More and more, they are struggling to upload which is presumably due to the ever increasing use of higher and higher resolution cameras.

I'm not expecting my users to be able to re-size images even with the likes of simple paint.net type software, so does anyone know of a facility online that is an easy and free image optimiser?

Chances are if they cant resize images on their own they likely will be lost having to do it via the web anyway. Your best approach would be to treat you site like a real business and get a real hosting plan so you can have some real system resources so you can set your site to handle large images for your clients.
