That is not a built in parameter for the new_listings plugin, however you can simply use the feature_listings_horizontal plugin to do that. Use the owner and the order_by parameters.

Thanks Mike. I am currently using the featured listing plugin you mentioned, and it works great. I was just curious if anyone was able to use the owner parameter with the new_listing plugin.

Appreciate the help.

I thought you had you had the css custom plugin from templatecodes? It will allow you to do this

{css_listings_horizontal type="featured" number="5" category="2" owner="6"}

5 featured adverts from category number 2 and owner number 6. Likkewise the 5 latest listings from owner 6.

{css_listings_horizontal type="new" number="5" owner="6"} - 5

I am going to put the general spec in the templatecodes area so all can see the possible combinations because there are many.

If you don't have it I will remove this post.

Thank you David.

I do use several of the TemplateCodes modules, but plumb forgot about this one. I've just used it and it works great for what I'm after, with just one minor thing.

Would you know where or how I can tell the module to open the links in a new browser window. I do that with all my other links thoughout my site, but can't get a handle on where this module would get that instruction. I tried in the module itself where it mentions target=, and also looked in the accompaning css file, but can't find the answer.

Your support, along with all the other folks that have helped me with issues such as this, has always been exceptional.

Thank you again.

Rich

Yes on lines 186, 202 and 206 of the file called function.css_listings_horizontal.php which is in the module plugins folder (custom_plugin)

Hi David;

I've seen those but don't know how to format the instruction so the . $target . will refer to _blank. I've gone to the Smarty site and can't find the answer either. Thought I'd just have to indicate that in the smarty params at the beginning of the file, but so far, no luck.

I got it. Thought it had to have had something to do with the $target instruction at the beginning of the lines, but simply adding the ... target="_blank" ... instruction to the href line like normal worked.

I was trying to make it complicated. That's what I get for thinking to much.

Have a great day everyone.
