New_listings plugin

Hi all,

Is there any way of setting the new listings plugin to show the new listings BY CATEGORY ?

EG {new_listings cat=107}

I did try this but I knew it would not be that easy

Is it possible does anybody know ? I have been through a whole load of threads but couldnt find anything

Any thoughts anybody ?

Not according to the documentation on it.

What you could do however is copy the current plugin and resave is with a new name, edit the plugin and alter the database query to add an addition where clause so that it only gets ads from a specific category.

Alternativly, depending on where you want the plugin displayed, there may be a POST or GET variable you can use to pass the category to the plugin and in turn use that variable in the database query.

Jason. Can't remember if you have our stuff or not but if you do you can do it for categories, featured, new, top and combinations of all these as well (e.g. 5 listings from new listings in a specific category or 3 listings from featured listings from all categories, etc). Think I made a post about that and the combinations possible to someone else sometime back.
