Newsletter Module

This module allows you to send emails to your members through the administration area. You can define which usergroup to send to or select all.

A newsletter system is already in place for version 3.1.x and in v4 I decided to go the module route so it will be easier to introduce new features.

Requirements

Minimum version 4.0.0
Instructions

Download the zip file and extract it. Then upload it to your modules directory. Next visit administration -> manage modules -> regenerate.

I uploaded the files to the modules directory, went to my admin panel and clicked Regenerate. Then I activated the mod. The state shows Active, and My options are Deactivate and Admin. I click Admin, and get the following error:

How do I fix this?

This module is for version 4 only.

Yes v3 already include a newsletter system. In v4 this was trimmed out so it could be ported to a module.

i get this error when testing newsletter module

Warning: Smarty error: unable to read resource: "content.tpl.php" in /home/content/p/o/w/powershota630/html/includes/classes/smarty/Smarty.class.php on line 1095

but.. emails were sent and received..

PS.. is it normal for my dashboard to say You are running v4.0.0 RC8 Hosted
I am a new customer and dloaded the file 1 week ago or so that said RC9 and from what I have read it looks like i have RC9.. jw

This module has been updated now. So you would need to download it again and replace all the files.

Yes that is fine. The edition will be removed on the next release.

I am unable to use the newsletter admin. When I click the admin link I get this error:

Warning: Smarty error: unable to read resource: "send.tpl" in /home/rt/public_html/includes/classes/smarty/Smarty.class.php on line 1095

I know this has been a bug already been reported but I just downloaded the zip today.
