Adding an extra field in listing results

Is there a way to add an extra field value in the results shown to the user when browsing and searching listings?

I have an apartment listing site and I created extra fields, one for each category, that allows the user to select the neighborhood. For example, for the category "Manhattan" I have an extra field called "Manhattan Neighborhood".

What I would like to do is show the extra field value directly underneath the title that is visible when browsing and viewing search results.

extra field value

Is it possible to do this and if so how would I go about it? Besides viewlisting.tpl what other files would need to be modified?
