Default Adding an extra field to Listing details ?

Hi there, I am making a Horse Classifieds website and would like to add an extra field to the listing details
when someone posts an ad called Pedigree Information <<<< See attachment...

When this information is filled out I want a table exactly the same to come up at the bottom of the listing when
the user clicks on View Lisitng with the data entered showing in the boxes.

Is this a big ask or pretty straight forward ? and can anyone help with the code, thanks.

It depends; Basically you will need to have a good command of html and css to maniplate the way your extrafields are shown in the view listing and checkout template files. Somebody reasonably competent should be able to do it quite quickly.

If you time is worth anything you could also just buy the pedigree mod which does what your looking to do.

I have to agree with both Larry and David. Larry's module would be the easiest and probably easier since I believe it hooks into the place an ad and modify.

Also you may want to check out this plugin:

Thanks for the help , I have looked at the module and seems to be what I'm looking for, but going to play around a little first and see if anyone can help me with the script I already have. No doubt I will end up purchasing this module though as I have my own work to get on with. Cheers !

Just get the module. If you had to ask the question then you almost certainly need it as opposed to attempting the customization which is not going to be straightforward for you. Time is money at the end of the day.
