Ever since I installed 4.09 on Jan. 18, 2009 I have been getting the following error statement in my errorlog which is now over 6MB and growing.
[26-Feb-2009 01:40:15] PHP Warning: PHP Startup: Unable to load dynamic library '/usr/local/lib/php/extensions/no-debug-zts-20060613//htscanner.so' - /usr/local/lib/php/extensions/no-debug-zts-20060613//htscanner.so: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory in Unknown on line 0 Can someone tell me what was not installed & how to repair this? Thanks, Barry

That's not something that 68C installs. That directory is at a lower level on your web server it seems. Have you checked with your web hosting service?

Thanks Mike. I am querying my IPS, where I co-locate a VPS. While I'd installed 4.1Beta4 in late December, I downgraded to the stable 4.09 on exactly the date the errors started. I will get to the bottom of it and report back to the forum.
Hmm. Perhaps the 4.1.4Beta setup did not use certain things which was needed by the 4.09? Barry

FWIW to others, the error, which kept adding another line to the errolog for every click on the site, was taken care of this way by my ISP tech support:
-------------------------------- To resolve this issue, I commented out the following lines in your php.ini: [htscanner] extension="/htscanner.so" config_file=".htaccess" default_docroot="../public_html" AND I have modified your php.ini file and commented out the lines which were causing the problem, lines with: extension= Since you're not using these extensions (from what I can tell) this will allow php to load faster and will not report those errors in the error_log. ---------------------------- Has anyone come across this before? Just curious. am I breaking anything by commenting out "extension=" ? Thanks Much

htscanner.so is a module that, from what I understand, allows you to put some php.ini settings in the .htacess file.
Your problem isnt realy related to 68C at all, its just the way your host has their environment set up. Many people dont ven have a default php.ini file to begin with. Chances are any php changes you are allowed to make can be done via the php.ini file so having php check the .htacess fiel is kind of redundant anyway.
