Suggestions for program.

-Combine membership and List packages together. both have options i would like to use at once without making a user A. pay twice. or B. have to sign up for one then sign up for a membership. Needs to be a straight forward way.

-File upload delete, path, and size limit options.

-Option to list all subcatagory listings when you click on its parent catagory. In other words when i click on the Catagory all ads show from anything thats under it in subcatagories. Then a user can dig down further if they want.

-Add a "Site Showcase" to the forums so we can show off.

-on the search page, if a admin creates a new option, let them check box it if they want to have it added to the search box. My site deals with animals, it would be cool if someone could just select female/male and hit search to bring up only that gender. I know they can just type "female" and get results though. This would just take it one more step.

You guys have done an AMAZING job on this application. I've searched and checked out more then 30 commerical Classifieds programs and they were all godawful. Poorly programmed, no creativity into the application or its graphical design even. You guys made the best program on the market as far as im concerned....hence....i bought it. haha.

If you have some ideas to make this better please post them and that way other users can also pass their thoughts along. We try to work of what is suggested for new versions.

This might come in the next release. I will see how difficult it will be to add in tommorow.

I personally haven't tried this but I think it should be pretty easy to edit the category.php file to include this. The search results will show listings from a parent category so I am thinking just changing the query should work.

Good idea. I guess you could use the site critique forum for now or post it in the live sites. But please do share I always love to see what our users have created.

This used to be this way but back in v3.0 I believe all search fields where binded to the specific categories. So that is the reason for the ajax on the search page so it will regenerate with the extra fields.

Wow! Thanks, every time I read great remarks like this it makes me forget all the time and stress building 68 Classifieds has caused over the years. I am really glad you like it and we enjoy you being a customer.

What i wanted to do originally was to have a package. The package would be $2 for 3 ads with 3 photos for 30 days. So actually the only feature that "Listing Packages" doesnt have is setting the amount of ads someone can have. Thats done in membership.

now im going to for the time being manually keep track of how many ads each user has posted. and manually activate posts

Also it would be a nice feature for a montly subscription option. So that package would only be active for one month. We wanted this to sell to Pet Shops so they could pay a monthly price to post animals on the site. Normal uses wouldnt have that restriction though. So if it was added, make it flexiable between user Groups.

Sorry i didnt see the site critique subcat either or i prob wouldnt have posted that one about the new catagory.

I'm glad your program was only $100. Some of these places are charging $300-700 for theirs and its insane of a price specially for crappy software. Having yours at a good decent (i think very fair, you probably dont with all the hours you put in, haha) price is all the more reason to buy your program.

I'm going to be donating my time to Human Societies and other places like that. I'll recommend your software to setup adoption programs just like i have used for me and my girlfriends site.

Yea our standard checkout system only works for each single listing. I have seen other scripts that force you to buy credits and the credits are then good for that many listings. We discussed doing it this way but we felt that that users would rather place the ad then give you the money.

No actually I feel the $100 and $199 price points are fair to both you the customer and us. We could raise the price but then we might not have as many users.
