userrenew.php error

Hi Iv just started getting this error in userrenew.php just after a person clicks continue


Fatal error: Cannot use string offset as an array in /home/fhlinux198/c/mysite.com/user/htdocs/templates_c/^bluejs^user^%%29^291^29105299%%layout.tpl.php.php on line 8

I removed line 8 from the layout temp and cleared the temp_c folder

Try using the default template and see if the error persists, if it does then we will know if its template related or not.

the system was working fine before, so why would it stop working now?

Im getting errors on usercheckout.php now

I think Iv had this before and Eric had to FTP in to site to fix, its when any "�$ is entered into an extra field

Usually when things just stop working and you are certain you havent changed anything it due to one of two reasons. A user entered a haracter that wasnt properly stripped and is messing up database queries OR your host changed something that effects how the scripts run.

If this is the case you should be able to access your web hosts control panel and use phpmyadmin or what ever mysql tool they have provided and look at the products table at the last couple rows to see if you can see the offending character. If you can the edit the field and remove the character.

the fields are made to hold this type of information, ie prices in ��$
