Default how to change authorisation # in admin?

can someone tell me if i can change the "authorisation #" in admin to suit the type of payment?

i must have modified the "test" payment module to be used for direct deposit because if someone selects "direct deposit" as payment, it shows in admin as 'Test',.

i reckon this might be a problem seeing that i only have the designer version..

The authorization number comes from the actual payment provider. In the case of using the internal check / money order it will use what is entered in the "Show As" field.

Can you check and see if the price is more than 0?

Did you also uncheck "Demo" in the admin for the payment provider in the admin?

Call me dense but im not following this thread at all. Eric asked if you had a price set of zero, you said yes. Then you went on to say after a customer makes a payment to paypal there is no auth ID.

Now, does that mean that you have since tested this on a package that does actually cost money? Or are you still working with an add that is free?

the ad has a cost of $15. if paypal is used then the cust is charged $15 and it works ok.

same goes for direct deposit, they are charged $15.
but- it still shows $0 at the bottom of the page of browse listings in admin. i dont really care about that beacuse i print every invoice and keep records that way, but i would like to know what payment method they used.

i hope this makes sense
