Default Keywords Question

When adding keywords to categories, is it for the purpose of the internal search or for the benefit of Google??

Also when adding keywords, are the meant to be comma delimited

(car, auto, steering wheel, etc)

or with spaces and quotes?

(car auto "steering wheel" etc)

Or some other combination.

Cheers

T.

They are just inputed for a search engine benefit. Nothing internally.

Here is a good page describing how to set them up:

You will have to scroll down a little to see it.

Hi,

The reason I'm asking is that when I go into a category, it doesn't show keywords, it only shows "KEYWORDS", and for description META it shows "DESCRIPTION" instead of the real keywords and description.

I'm using the 68auto template.

Cheers

T.

It could be a bug in the template. Can you open the layout.tpl.php template file and make sure it has these two lines:
Code:
<meta name="Keywords" content="{$sitekeywords}" />
<meta name="Description" content="{$sitedescription}" />

Last Q regarding this, is my theme / template likely to break when I upgrade to 4.0?

You will need to make some changes and we are going to try and release all the templates again so they work with v4.
